Construction students from NPTC Group of Colleges have cemented their future careers after being awarded top degrees in Construction Management this week.
Three students who are the first to study the College’s new BSc (Hons) degree in Construction Management in conjunction with Glyndwr University have been awarded the degree. At the same time, ten former construction students have also been awarded the same degree at University, six achieved a First Class Honours and four a 2.1.
The College has a proud tradition of delivering full and part-time construction courses at all levels from foundation level to degrees. All aspects are covered including brickwork, carpentry, painting and decoration, plastering and civil engineering.
Director of Studies Ian Lumsdaine said he was delighted with the results.
“It is great news and we congratulate all those involved – the students who have put in the hard work and the staff who have helped them achieve these brilliant results. It’s fantastic to see our students continue through the levels of study offered at the College and to be awarded with a degree that we now deliver at NPTC Group of Colleges. We are also proud of our ex-construction students who have achieved success and believe it’s down to the good grounding they had whilst at College with the support of staff who encouraged them to continue with their studies.”
Head of Engineering Carl James added: “I am very proud of these students, who started with NPTC Group as full time L3 BTEC students. To see them progress through to HNC with NPTC then onto completing their degree in Construction Management means a lot to me and the whole team.”
