The NPTC Group of Colleges’ Jobs Fair attracted a huge turnout recently with over 500 keen job hunters attending the event looking for work.
The fair was organised by NPTC Recruit in order to allow College students to access employers who are currently recruiting. The fair also provided the opportunity for people to talk to company representatives and see how they could boost their skills and job prospects.
Around twenty organisations took part in the successful event including some well-known companies including Tesco, MacDonald’s, Amazon, South Wales Police, DVLA, Pizza Hut and Castle Hotel.
NPTC Recruit was launched as a recruitment agency to help students secure employment. Kelly Jordan, NPTC Group of Colleges’ Enterprise and Employability Officer, said:
“Building on the success of recent years, the NPTC Recruit Jobs Fair always attracts a fantastic mix of companies who were offering part-time and voluntary placements to our students. Some students were able to apply on the spot and we have already had confirmation from companies that many of our students have already been invited for interviews and job trials.”
