Hairdressing and beauty therapy students at NPTC Group of Colleges have been demonstrating their newfound skills with a week-long spooktacular Halloween-themed hair and make-up showcase.
Inspire Week, which runs across the School of Hairdressing and Applied Therapies, is designed to highlight the progress students have made in the eight weeks since the start of the academic year. Students from Afan College, Brecon Beacons College and Newtown College took part in the skills challenge, with the spooky creations causing quite a buzz across the College’s social media platforms.
Juliana Thomas, Head of School of Hairdressing and Applied Therapies, said:
“Inspire Week is an opportunity to showcase the fantastic learning and teaching that goes on within the School. The original idea was to set up a series of motivational talks from industry professionals, but we quickly realised that the best way to inspire our students is by giving them the opportunity to demonstrate how much they have learned and how their skills have developed.
“Halloween presents us with the opportunity to let the students exaggerate industry techniques in a way that they can have a bit of fun with.”
