Students on Level 3 Public Services course at Brecon College (part of NPTC Group of Colleges) have had the opportunity to take part in a number of adventures in North Wales recently. Their four day trip included a hike to the summit of Snowdon and participation in some voluntary work for the National Trust on their Ysbyty Estate near Betws y Coed.
Whilst in the area the group of second year students assisted the local park ranger Rhydian Morris to carry out various jobs, this included picking a none native weed called Himalayan Balsam that had taken over to coppicing a young wood that needed clearing.
The students stayed in a local Bunkhouse called Hendra Isaf. All students came back tired but pleased with their achievements after their enjoyable exploits.
