Llandarcy Academy of Sport, which was transformed into a temporary field hospital amid the coronavirus pandemic, is being returned to NPTC Group of Colleges. It follows a decision by health bosses to move all the beds to one site on Fabian Way. Thankfully, the temporary hospital wasn’t needed at Llandarcy, and Swansea Bay University Health Board has announced that the building is now being handed back as the new college term begins. As well as students, the facility is also open to the community as a leisure and sports facility and used by many sporting organisations. The College has worked closely with the health board to provide temporary facilities to members and users and these will continue to operate until the facility is restored.
