Skills Academy Wales (SAW), one of the leading providers of work-based learning in Wales, has decided that it’s time to shine a light on its apprentices, staff, and employers by holding a special ceremony to recognise those who have shown outstanding commitment, attained achievements and celebrated success despite the pandemic.
Skills Academy Wales (SAW) is a work-based learning partnership that is led by NPTC Group of Colleges. It’s the first work-based learning partnership of its kind in Wales!
It was formed in 2009 and is one of the best-performing Apprenticeship providers in Wales, delivering high-quality apprenticeship opportunities in over 30 vocational areas.
Partners include ACO Training Ltd; Coleg y Cymoedd; Jobforce Wales; Learn-kit Ltd; Llanelli Rural Council Training and ITeC Digital Training.
The Awards will celebrate the outstanding achievements of learners, employers and providers involved in the delivery of quality Apprenticeship and Traineeship Programmes across the partnership. The categories cover all levels, from Foundations Apprentices to Large Employers of over 100 employees, with winners announced at an awards ceremony to be held at Neath College after Easter.
“Skills Academy Wales is a unique partnership across Wales and has been an outstanding success in providing effective solutions to the identified skills shortages. It’s with great joy and only appropriate that we showcase the hard work of our staff and especially our apprentices”, said Nicola Thornton Scott: NPTC Group of Colleges Assistant Principal for Skills.
