As part of the Armed Forces Covenant, NPTC Group of Colleges has been working hard to make the new Memorial Garden at the Bulldogs in Port Talbot a success. The Memorial Garden has been built in memory of volunteers lost during the pandemic. The College’s Engineering, Construction and Horticulture departments worked together showcasing the outstanding skills and professional knowledge of both staff and students.
The College helps support veterans at drop-in sessions at the Bulldogs. Petra Williams, the College’s Senior Resilience and Wellbeing Officer has been working with the organisation since January and has built an excellent partnership with the local Army Veterans and is a first point of contact especially with this heartfelt project.
Neath College Manager Dave Rush said: “This project is a perfect example of collaboration between the College and the wider community. The design and completion of the gardens went beyond all expectations.”
