Congratulations to the winners of this year’s NPTC Group of Colleges Law Award for Outstanding Achievement, sponsored by Jennifer Melly Law. The recipients of this year’s award for the best-performing law students were Alys Cooke and Alex Thomas who were presented with their certificates and trophies during the awards ceremony and celebration at the offices of Jennifer Melly Law, based in Neath.
Alys studied A Level Law, Geography and Psychology while Alex studied A Level Law, A Level English Language and Literature (combined) and A Level Business Studies. Both were part of the GATE (Gifted and Talented Excellence) programme which is run at the college.
Both students achieved outstanding A* grades for A Level Law in August 2022.
Core Skills Manager and Law Lecturer, Naomi Davies commented: “Alys and Alex showed exceptional commitment to their studies and were valuable ambassadors for the College at events such as Open Evenings and Taster Days.”
“NPTC Group of Colleges has a proud tradition that many of our students who study A Level Law go on to read Law at university; Alys and Alex are continuing this tradition and are both currently reading Law at Exeter University.”
As well as receiving a certificate and trophy, the students have guaranteed themselves work experience placements at the highly successful Jennifer Melly Law which will no doubt help them in such a competitive field of work.
