Oscar Block and Lee Trussler met with the staff from Newtown College motor vehicle department to deliver their second Toyota Prius Electric/Hybrid vehicle training rig. The first rig was purchased in 2019 and was the first electric/hybrid vehicle training rig to be delivered to a further education facility in Wales. The rig forms a vital part of the training course that the College provides on hybrid and electric vehicle system repair and replacement from level 1 to level 4.
This second rig will complement their current equipment and increase course capacity over the forthcoming year.
Oscar Block is the third Block automotive generation and was delighted to observe training equipment that his grandfather produced for the College during the early 90’s.
They then incorporated a visit to Electric Classic Cars, ECC of Newtown. Many of the staff at ECC have undertaken the IMI accredited courses at the College. CEO Richard (Moggy) Morgan and Jon Peck, Head of Sales, provided a tour of their current projects and discussed the evolution of both their incredible innovative industries.
