The Skills Ranger Scheme hosted a lively Family Fun Day at Afan Fitness, bringing the community together. This vibrant event featured a variety of activities, including crafts, games, and delicious refreshments, attracting families from the Afan Valley and beyond.

Funded by SPF Funding and in collaboration with Wildfox Resorts, Neath Port Talbot Council, and Neath Port Talbot CVS, the Family Fun Day aimed to nurture community engagement while showcasing the educational opportunities available within the region. Attendees enjoyed a range of stalls and interactive activities, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages.

The event served as an excellent platform for residents to learn about the diverse range of full-time and part-time courses offered by the NPTC Group of Colleges. Participants had the chance to speak directly with college representatives, exploring potential educational pathways that can lead to rewarding careers.

Kathryn Dunstan, Director of Partnerships, remarked:  “We were thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout for our Family Fun Day. This event not only celebrated our achievements but also highlighted the strong connections we are building within the community. We look forward to continuing our work here in the Afan Valley.”

The Skills Ranger Project has successfully engaged the community over the past ten months, providing valuable skills training and resources. This event marked another milestone in their commitment to supporting individuals in the Afan Valley.
