WorldSkills Success for NPTC Group of Colleges

NPTC Group of Colleges has been ranked in the top 10 in Organisational league tables for Foundations Skills and mainstream competitions at WorldSkills UK.

It follows a week of competitions at the UK National Finals across SkillBuild and WorldSkills UK where Team Wales won a total of 69 medals. NPTC Group of Colleges won three gold medals, a bronze, and also had two highly commended in the competitions which took place in Manchester.

Some of the winners will now be invited to be part of a training squad in preparation for the International WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai where successful students will be selected to represent the UK at the ‘Skills Olympics’.

Eddie Jones, Skills Ambassador for NPTC Group of Colleges said: “Well done to all our students that took part in the WorldSkills UK Finals last week. It was a fantastic achievement to get to the finals and be one of the eight qualifiers in their chosen skill area. The competition was of a high quality, but the extra training and support given by staff at the College was key in helping the students reach the finals.”
