Skills Academy Wales The Highest Performing Apprenticeship Provider in Wales

Skills Academy Wales (SAW), has been recognised as the highest-performing apprenticeship provider in Wales.  Leading the SAW Work-Based Learning Partnership, NPTC Group of Colleges effectively engages with twelve training providers offering apprenticeship opportunities across Wales.  The recognition comes off the back of Medr’s Learning Outcome Measures for Apprenticeships 2023/24 which have just been published.

Nicola Thornton-Scott, Assistant Principal Work-Based Learning stated: “This achievement highlights our commitment to providing a diverse range of opportunities for apprentices to develop their skills and enhance their competency in various sectors.”

The apprenticeship programmes are designed to equip individuals with the practical experience and qualifications necessary to thrive in the workforce, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges of a fast-evolving job market.  By offering such a wide breadth of vocational routes, SAW, which has just celebrated its 15th anniversary, enables apprentices to advance their careers and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Nicola added: “In addition to fostering the growth of skilled individuals, Skills Academy Wales plays a vital role in supporting employers across Wales.  We are committed to providing businesses with access to a highly skilled workforce, helping to build a strong talent pipeline for the future. Our programmes are tailored to meet the specific needs of employers which supports a flexible workforce that can be adapted to meet the changing needs of their business and be responsive to market demands.  As we celebrate this significant achievement, Skills Academy Wales remains dedicated to empowering both learners and employers, strengthening Wales’ economy and fostering a brighter future for all.”
