Course Overview
This full-time, Level 3 Welding and Fabrication course is designed for individuals who have completed a Level 2 engineering course and are looking to progress their knowledge and skills in welding and fabrication.
The course will cover a range of topics including health and safety in welding, welding principles, CAD, MIG, TIG, MMA, and Platework.
Students will gain an understanding of the different welding and fabrication techniques and will have the opportunity to practice these skills in a safe and controlled environment. They will learn how to interpret engineering drawings and use CAD software to produce accurate designs.
The course will focus on the practical skills required for welding and fabrication and students will be given the opportunity to work on a range of projects. These projects will allow students to develop their skills in welding and fabrication, as well as problem-solving and teamwork.
Students will be offered extra curricula activities such as competing in World skills competitions and attending educational visits to Engineering companies around the surrounding areas. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared for a range of employment opportunities in the welding and fabrication industry.
This includes apprenticeships, traineeships, and full-time welding and fabrication jobs.
