This one year course covers the fundamental skills & knowledge common to all Motor Vehicle practices. The course aims to explore all mechanical and electrical systems, typical to light vehicles. The course is completed by means of 2 on line exams and a series of assignments and practical tasks carried out in our excellent workshop facility.
4 GCSEs of C & above is desirable, but practical experience is also considered.
Students can continue their studies and progress onto full time level 3 automotive engineering program or enter into employment and continue to study full time or day release basis if sponsored in a Modern Apprenticeship with a participating employer.
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in light Vehicle Maintenance
Course Duration: This is a 1 year full time course.
This course requires continual assessment of College based assignments which will be collated as portfolio evidence to meet the needs of the awarding body. Online examinations will be scheduled at key stages throughout the course. Development of Literacy and Numeracy Skills.
