The WJEC Level 3 Applied Extended Certificate in Tourism is an exciting qualification from WJEC that supports learners to understand the local, national and global tourism industry, and enables them to develop a broad range of skills and qualities required by the tourism industry, the world of business, employment as well as entry to study at degree level.
The WJEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Tourism is a full-time, two-year further education course equivalent to one A Level designed for students who are interested in the travel and tourism industry, which is widely recognised to be the largest commercial service sector industry in the world. Travel sector jobs are projected to grow, as is demand for graduate positions, and this programme will provide you with transferable skills that will prepare you for the world of work in travel and tourism, other industries and beyond.
The course will enable you to gain the required understanding and skills to be able to consider employment within a wide spectrum of organisations, including those operating within the industry.
