Multiply Your Skills
NPTC Group of Colleges has launched a range of free, government-funded courses to help adults and families improve their numeracy and maths skills.
Numeracy and maths skills are essential in all aspects of life. They unlock job opportunities, help you to remain in control of your finances, enable you to help your children with homework or prepare you to step back into education or progress in your career.
The training courses are available to residents of Powys aged 19 and over who don’t currently hold a Maths GCSE. Our free courses through Multiply will build your confidence with numbers and allow you to gain a recognised qualification.
Numeracy at Home: Empowering parents, carers and guardians to support their children’s learning.
In collaboration with our community, this project aims to develop numeracy opportunities for children and family members. With a specific focus on family learning, we will create courses for adults that enhance basic arithmetic, everyday math skills, and financial literacy. The initiative will align with the new math curriculum and cater to various skill levels, including tasters, beginners, and improvers. We host these courses in accessible venues such as libraries, community centres, sports clubs, schools, and colleges.
