Apprenticeship in Work-based Agriculture (Level 3)

Duration

21 months.

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Work-based Agriculture (QCF); Units may include: Routine Husbandry, Cultivating Sites for Planting Crops, Maintaining and Storing Records within the Workplace, Maintain Site Hygiene and Bio Security, Record Keeping and Prepare and Use Tractors and Attachments.
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • Employers Rights and Responsibilities.
What will the qualification lead to?

Apprentices successfully completing this Apprenticeship could progress within the industry by progressing onto the Higher Apprenticeship or to Higher Education courses such as a HNC/D in Agriculture, Agriculture and Countryside Conservation, Agriculture with Animal Science, Agriculture with Business Studies, Crop Agronomist, Agricultural Business Management or similar qualifications.
