Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding (Level 3)

24 months

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fabrication and Welding, Units include: Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering Organisational efficiency and Improvement, CAD, Fabrication and Welding Principles, Manual Metal Arc Welding. Metal Inert/Active Gas Welding, TIG Welding, Producing Platework Fabrications.
  • Learners can also select one from the following pathways: Manual Welding, Welding Machine Setting and Operating, Sheet Metal Working, Plateworking, Structural Steelwork and Pipe And Tube Fabrication.
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
What will the qualification lead to?

After completing each level learners can progress onto a HNC/HND in Engineering.
