NPTC Group of Colleges was delighted to welcome Kirsty Williams AM, Cabinet Secretary for Education to its Neath College recently.
Kirsty made the visit as part of a tour of all the Colleges’ campuses and spent the morning talking to students and staff from the Schools of Creative Visual and Performing Arts, Engineering and Culinary Arts and Hospitality.
Taking a tour of the Colleges’ first-class facilities, Kirsty was interested to find out about our students’ experiences in College including two female students from Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering; Hollie McIntyre and Kiana Smith who are challenging gender stereotypes to excel in Engineering.
The Cabinet Secretary for Education also had the opportunity to see the College’s new Sixth Form Academy Hub which is under construction, through the power of virtual reality.
Mark Dacey, Principal/CEO of NPTC Group of Colleges said:
“We are delighted that Kirsty has been able to visit Neath College, to see the facilities on offer to students and to speak first hand about their time in College and future aspirations.”
