At Pathways Training we deliver Apprenticeships in Accounting that will give apprentices an AAT qualification. Apprentices will develop skills in the workplace and attend college one day a week for 1 year for each level.
This programme will support roles such as an Accounting Technician, Accounts Assistant or similar role.

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting;
Units covered: Introduction to Bookkeeping, Principles of Bookkeeping Controls, Principles of Costing, Business Environment.
ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).

Apprentices work towards the following qualifications:
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting;
Units covered: Financial Accounting-Preparing Financial Statements, Management Accounting Techniques, Tax Processes For Businesses, Business Awareness.
ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
Duration
1 Year
AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting;
Units covered: Internal Accounting Systems and Controls, Applied Management Accounting, Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements, Audit and Assurance Personal Tax.
ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
What will the qualification lead to?
After completing level 4 learners can apply to AAT for Member Status (MAAT). It is also possible for successful learners to progress to the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or progress onto a Foundation Degree in Accounting.
