The AS Level / A Level Economics is a full-time, two-year further education course located in the Sixth Form Academy (SFA) which is designed for students who are interested in the economy and its impact on daily life. You will examine issues such as: whether the UK was right to stay out of the Euro, why petrol taxes are so high, how to combat climate change, and why some areas of the country are performing better than others.
A genuine interest in current affairs and the world around you will help your understanding of the subject. We look at Micro-Economics – the study of consumers and businesses – and Macro-Economics – the study of wider issues such as inflation, unemployment and recession.
