This is a multi-discipline engineering programme, equivalent to 3-A levels over 2 years, covering the necessary engineering skills and knowledge for students wishing to progress to University or onto an Apprenticeship.
Students will study 15 individual units, 3 of which are double units externally assessed. The remaining 12 units internally assessed.
Engineering principles,
The course is over 2 years with the 1st year leading to the Foundation Diploma in Engineering and the 2nd year to the Extended Diploma In Engineering.
Working Effectively and Safely in Engineering Environments, there are a number of specialist units such as Mechanical, Hydraulic and Welding units which support this programme.
This course will allow you to study at University level (HNC/HND) or enter employment at technician level.
5 GCSEs grades A*-C including English, Maths and Level 2 Engineering qualification. A good level of attendance and commitment is also required. Students that do not meet the entry requirements can be interviewed on a case-by-case basis considering individual profile and the work life experience etc.
Students can continue their studies onto University or Network 75. Enter into apprenticeship and continue to study on a day release basis.
