This programme will suit students who wish to develop the knowledge and understanding of public services, both uniformed and non-uniformed. This will be achieved through learning activities that emphasis students’ engagement with research-led resources. There will be opportunities for students to gain experience of public services activities and will relate to authentic, real-world problems and cases.
The Course is run in partnership with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience.
Typical offer : 2 A Levels at E Grade or PP/PPP profile from a level 3 vocational qualification. Must include 5 GCSE at Grade C or above , to include Maths and English
Graduates will have employment prospects in a wide range of public service disciplines, for example Armed Forces Officer, Physical Training Officer, British Army Police, Police Officer, Prison Officer, Firefighter, UK border Agency Officer etc
Two semesters per academic year. Full-time students typically study 60-credits worth of modules per semester during the daytime. Part-time students typically study 60-credits worth of modules per year.

You will need to complete a selection of portfolios, presentation and written assignments as you progress through the course. In addition students will be assessed on a work based evaluation.
DBS check is required for work experience. In addition, a selection of short courses such as Driving, Health and Safety, British Sign Language etc can be offered at a cost to support employability.
