Course Overview
Pathway 3 –
A full-time programme offering a personalised learning plan that focuses on independent living skills, work experience and addresses environmental issues using the four pillars of learning through following the RARPA framework:- Independent Living Skiils, Community Participation, Personal & Social Skills & Enterprise and Employability. Literacy, numeracy and digital literacy are embedded to develop the skills needed to progress in further education or finding employment.
No previous knowledge is required for these courses. Acceptance onto a course will be through the College's application and interview process.
Learners need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work at least at Entry 3 prior to this course. Learners must have a positive work ethic and demonstrate an interest in skills development.
Most learners on this course choose to develop their skills for employment by enrolling on other courses in a particular vocational area or onto the Gateway programme, one of which is a supported internship programme offering the opportunity to develop the skills needed to gain employment.
There will be additional course-related costs.
