Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding (Level 2)

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operationsm Units will include: Working Safely in an Engineering Environment, Carrying Out Engineering Activities Efficiently and Effectively, Using and Communicating Technical Information, Cutting & Shaping Materials Using Thermal Cutting Equipment, Preparing and Using Manual Metal Arc Welding Equipment, Preparing and Using Semi-automatic MIG, MAG and Flux Cored arc Welding Equipment.
  • EAL Level 2 VRQ – Diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Units will include: Engineering Environment Awareness, Engineering Techniques,  Engineering Principles, Fabrication and Welding Principles, Manual Welding Techniques (TIG welding and spot welding) and Thermal Cutting Techniques.
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply)
