Apprenticeship in Mechanical Machining (Level 3)

Duration

24 months

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • EAL Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering; Units will include: Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements, Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation, Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering, and many more.
  • Learners can also select one from the following pathways: Machining, CNC Machining, Machine Tool Setting, Fitting and Assembly, Pipe Fitting and Assembly.

And

  • EAL Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Tech Cert) [Machining]; Units will include: Engineering Fundamentals Progressive Unit, Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering Organisational Efficiency and Improvement, Mechanical Progressive Unit (Turning And Milling), Mechanical Engineering Principles, Advanced Mathematics, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and many more.
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
What will the qualification lead to?

After completing each level learners can progress onto a HNC in Engineering.
