Apprenticeship in Site Carpentry (Level 3)

Duration

Up to 36 months

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • Core in Construction and Building Services Engineering; (exemptions apply) Units may include: Introduction to the Built Environment, Introduction to the Trades in the Construction and Built Environment Sector, Introduction to the Built Environment Life Cycle, Employability in the Construction and Built Environment Sector, Protecting Health, Safety and the Environment When Working in the Construction and Built Environment Sector, Introduction to Emerging Technologies in the Construction and Built Environment Sector and Wood Occupations and many more.
  • Level 3 in Site Carpentry; Units may include: Understanding Construction Practice in Wales, Working in the Construction Sector in Wales, Planning and Evaluating Work in the Construction Sector in Wales, Move, Handle or Store Resources, Install First Fixing Components, Install Second Fixing Components, Erect Structural Carcassing Components, Install Complex First and Second Fixing Components, Erect Roof Structure Carcassing Components and many more.
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • Digital Skills for Construction.
What will the qualification lead to?

After completing learners can apply for the CSCS Advanced Craft card, progress onto HNC in Construction and Built Environment.
