Foundation Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance (Level 2)

Apprentices will work towards the following qualifications:
  • EAL Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 (NVQ);
    Units will include: Working Safely in an Engineering Environment, Carrying Out Engineering Activities Efficiently and Effectively, Using and Communicating Technical Information, Producing Components Using Hand Fitting Techniques, Preparing and Using Lathes for Turning Operations, Preparing and Using Milling Machines.
  • EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology (Tech Cert);
    Units will include: Engineering Environment Awareness, Engineering Techniques, Engineering Mathematics and Science Principles, Fitting and Assembly Techniques, Manual Turning Techniques, Manual Milling Techniques.
  • ESW Application of Number Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
  • ESW Communication Skills (proxy exemptions apply).
