Volunteering Opportunities for Staff

As part of its commitment to health, well-being and sustainability, the College has introduced a new Employer Volunteering policy for employees to take part in up to two days a year of volunteering during work time.

The College links with charities aligning with our values. This year we have a great partnerships with Keep Wales Tidy, Brecon Jazz Festival, The Princes Trust, Shelter Cymru.

Keep Wales Tidy (KWT)

The College is working with Keep Wales Tidy (KWT) and is part of 184-strong Litter Picking Hubs across Wales to support activities on the ground in a sustainable way. Cleaning up our communities, the hubs which are based at Neath College, Brecon Beacons College and Newtown College offer all the equipment needed to carry out a safe clean-up. The kits include litter pickers, hi-vis vests and rubbish bags.

In addition, the College has set up nature gardens on the Neath, Brecon Beacons and Newtown College sites, where fresh produce is being grown. The vegetable gardens will help supply the College kitchens.  As well as the horticultural team and students, volunteers are needed to help support the project.
